Mis-en-scene blog task

 

Costumes: The man seems to be in a formal suit to hold the child on the floor which could indicate he rushed from work to comfort his child

Lighting: The setting doesn't seem very bright meaning the light could be dull and faulty.

Actor placement: The child and man are both sitting on tissue papers on the floor and the child is laying his head in the mans lap which could indicate that something bad could have happened to the child and he needs comforting.

Makeup: You can't really see their faces very clearly but expression wise, the man seems to be serious.

Props: There is a briefcase on the left side which could be the mans and there isa plastic bad aswell. 

Setting: It looks like they're in a public bathroom or the childs school bathroom on the floor.

Costumes: Everyone seems to dresses quite casually which could mean that no one was expecting this to happen. Most people are wearing black and black could sometimes signify danger in a way.

Lighting:  Its very dark outside and the house is dimly lit too mainly because it's a horror movie. The darkness symbolizes death and by it being so dark it creates the sense of being stuck without enough light.

Actor placement: Both women at the beginning are standing outside of the house waiting to go in. The main thing is the actor who was tied up and locked in the closet with her sister who comes and finds her but refuses to untie her.

Makeup: Everyone seems to have natural makeup on. Some of the actors even have scars on their face done to look like they got badly injured.

Props: The main props used in this scene are guns and knives.

Setting: The scene is set outside a house in the beginning the the character slowly makes her way into the house.

Costumes: Compared to scream, mean girls is a much more colourful movie where the costumes are more vibrant and vivid whereas scream is more dark and dull.

Lighting: Again comparing to scream, this one is much brighter since scream was a horror and this one is more of a rom-com. 

Actor placement: All actors in this scene are sitting in the lunch hall around a bench.

Makeup: All the girls have basic makeup on that all girls usually wear, blush, mascara etc.

Props: There aren't many props in this scene except for the lunch plates and her bracelet.

Setting: This scene is set in a school cafeteria at what looks like lunch time.
