Film poster analysis

Blade runner: The genre could be action/sci-fi as there seems to be a flying car which could be futuristic. The narrative might be about the man in the poster maybe running away from something as it refers back to the title. The two characters on the page could possibly be the main characters him more than her since his picture appears to be bigger. She could also possibly be the antagonist because of the cigarette in her hand and cigarettes tend to be a negative thing. The film could be set in the city since there's buildings at the bottom. I think the audience could possibly be teens-adults and probably male since more males tend to watch action/sci-fi movies.

Scary Movie 2: I think the genre of this movie is horror and comedy. Horror because the title is 'scary movie' and comedy because of the 'absolutely hilarious' opinion above. It looks like a teenager kind of movie where scary things happen but its made funny for the audience. The poster seems to be a group of friends in the cinema watching something scary judging by their expressions and gestures. I think that creepy things could start happening which starts to scare them. The film involves a priest and dead people since one of the shirts says 'i <3 dead people'. There also seems to be a weird looking figure inside of the O in movie which could be a part of the movie. The audience could be teenagers that enjoy scary movies.

Uzak: The genre of this movie might be a thriller as the poster looks a bit ominous and dark. There seems to be an industrial site in the background polluting the air. The man in the poster could be remembering something that happened there either good or bad. The movie could also possibly be in another language as 'uzak' doesn't sound English. The movie look to be set in a cold country because of the snow. The audience looks like it could be adults or older people maybe because of the colour scheme; it seems to be quite dark and dull.

I'm not scared: The genre is thriller because it says it in the tagline below the title. The movie could be about the boy in the poster discovering something in the hole he's looking in. The lighting in this poster makes the hole appear much darker than the boy which could indicate that the hole is quite deep. I think he finds something horrific in the hole since the genre is a thriller and the title also suggests that. The title also seems to have different people in the letters which could possibly be his memories. I think the audience could be teens-adults mainly because of the genre.

Sin City: The genre could be an action or a thriller, based off the colour scheme and the rain and since its fairly dark and one of the characters is holding a weapon. I think that the word 'sin' means something bad and based off the title, maybe bad things happen in the city. The red colour in the title could also signify danger or blood which could indicate some parts of violence. The audience for sin city would probably be young males just based off what i think the movie is about.

Pirates of the Caribbean: I think the genre of the film is adventure and fantasy since its about pirates. I think the people on the front page could be the main characters and there could possibly be a love triangle between them as both the men might like the same girl. The skull on the cover may symbolize death or danger as something may happen in the movie. The octopus tentacle in the water could have caused problems for them on the ship  and they may have needed to defend themselves. I think the audience would be any age really like maybe 13+.

Bride and prejudice: The genre of this film is probably romance as the title suggests the word bride. It could also be a comedy as it says 'spectacular, romantic, funny and so sexy'. I think this movie is a multicultural wedding as on one side there's buildings and on the other an Indian temple. It also means that they are from 2 different places based on the setting. Everyone seems to be happy and celebrating which could mean its a happy movie. The lighting is all bright and is very vivid. I think the audience for this film would be young adults and older more females.

Million dollar baby: I think the genre of this film is action mainly because she looks like she's training for something big maybe a fight since she looks quite athletic. The expressions on their faces are quite serious meaning its not a very happy movie. It could be about the main character (the girl at the front) finding out that she's the daughter of some millionaire (the one on the right since he looks a bit older) or maybe she marries a millionaire referring back to the title. The audience for this would again be young adults and older just as the colour scheme on the poster wouldn't really attract younger ones to watch it since its very dark.
